What is the ONC HIT Certification?
The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) has a voluntary Health IT Certification Program. This program provides certification of “health IT standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria” adopted by the Secretary of HHS.
How does it work?
The ONC has various agencies and entities under its governance who perform the accreditation testing. Once approved and certified, health IT products are placed on the Certified Health IT Product List. This list makes it easier for behavioral health agencies to find health IT products like CT|One.
Why is it important?
Health IT products certified by the ONC have been tested in accordance with the ONC-Approved Test Method. This method makes sure the health IT functionality meets the recording, security, and interoperable sharing of health information requirements of the ONC Health IT Certification Program.
The CT|One difference.
CT|One offers your agency ONC HIT certification. ONC agencies tested and certified that the EHR technology in CT|One complies with standard, specifications, and requirements to meet the definition of “certified EHR technology.”
